Description
Full-time | 5days per week | Some weekend coverage essential |
CORE FOCUS:
This is a hands-on, on-the-ground operational support role working closely with the Operations and Property Manager to ensure the smooth daily running of our serviced apartment portfolio in Covent Garden / Soho
You’ll be the go-to problem solver—jumping in to address urgent guest-related issues, on-site maintenance needs, apartment readiness, and general support tasks that keep the operation running efficiently
We're looking for someone proactive, dependable, and resourceful, with a strong “can-do” attitude and practical skills to match.
Key Responsibilities
Provide immediate, on-site support to respond to operational needs and guest-related issues, particularly during weekends and high-turnover days
Carry out light maintenance and repairs across the property portfolio (e.g., replacing toilet seats, tightening fixtures, re-pressurising boilers, touch-up painting)
Support the resolution of larger operational or maintenance issues by working alongside the Operations and Property Manager to organise, coordinate, and problem-solve with external contractors—ensuring timely resolution with minimal disruption to the business
Perform proactive upkeep and visual inspections in apartments between bookings—identifying wear, damage, or areas needing attention
Conduct preventative maintenance during booking gaps, including mould checks, minor paint touch-ups, and deep cleans of high-wear areas to maintain high apartment standards
Support apartment setup and turnover logistics: assist with deliveries, installations, minor furniture assembly, and coordination
Provide physical support to housekeeping and maintenance teams when needed to meet tight schedules
Communicate effectively via phone/messaging tools to coordinate with team members and managers in real-time
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A flexible, hands-on attitude with a strong sense of personal ownership
Handyman skills and familiarity with tools
The physical ability to complete tasks such as lifting, moving furniture, light repairs, and general maintenance work
Availability to be physically present in Central London during peak turnover times; close proximity to Covent Garden / Soho is a must
Comfort with technology for internal team coordination (e.g., messaging apps, photo updates, basic reporting)
Prior experience in operations, facilities, hospitality, or residential property support preferred
A proactive mindset—someone who spots things before they become issues and takes initiative to resolve the
This can at time be a physically demanding role and needs a flexible approach to support the requirements of the business
