Vintage 1960s Ruby Red tricorn bowl from Whitefriars, designed by Geoffrey Baxter
This is a classic 1960s design and colour
The bowl has 3 sides , the shape of which and is often referred to as the tricorn
The bowl tapers in from the rim towards a thickened, rounded base. This is flat and has a central polished pontil on the underside
The bowl has the pattern number 3516 and can be found on page 13 of the 1964 Whitefriars catalogue
it is approximately 6.5cm high and measures 14cm across
It is free from chips or cracks although has minor wear to the inside, hard to capture on camera, commensurate with light use as a trinket or occasional bowl
Looks great as part of a mid century display or against other Whitefriars or art glass of varying or similar shapes and sizes
