Description
This is a fascinating vintage traditional Viking drinking vessel known as a Saga Horn and is handmade by Haugrud Pewter, Norway. It is decorated with bands of hammered pewter and has two legs and a lid featuring a helmeted Viking warrior head. The original label is included.
Dimensions: 25cm high (to top of lid knob) x 14cm wide (width of feet) x 26cm long
Weight: 515g
This drinking horn is in very good condition. There are some slight blemishes to the pewter, the lid is loose fitting and the knob (Viking head) has become detached but still fits into the lid (see photos).
We are located in Trowse near Norwich, just a few mins drive from County Hall and the football ground, and 5 mins drive from the Southern Bypass.
