Description
Purchased in India about 30 years ago this is the Betel Car. Some people think it's a watercolour set but it is in fact, I believe, a betel nut kind of dispensary. Betel nut or Pan is sold by street venders all over India and is a curious mix of tobacco and aromatic herbs and betel nut that is chewed for a flavourful mild hit. There is in fact some tobacco dusting inside the car. I haven't polished it up I think it looks better a bit rough n ready. There seems to be various offerings of these on the internet at some extraordinary prices but I need a clear out so this is a bargain.
