WHISKY TINS AND BOX – INCLUDING A GLENFIDDICH SCOTCH WHISKY TIN FEATURING CLANS OF THE HIGHLANDS OF SCOTLAND, CLAN SUTHERLAND. THE TIN ITSELF WAS MANUFACTURED BY BARRINGER WALLIS AND MANNERS OF MANSFIELD ENGLAND – MAKER OF TIN BOXES SINCE 1890. IT SHOWS KENNETH SUTHERLAND 3RD LORD DUFFUS CIRCA 1710. ARTIST RICHARD WAITT circa 1710. THE ORIGINAL PAINTING IS HELD IN THE SCOTTISH NATIONAL PORTRAIT GALLERY EDINBURGH. IT FEATURES THE SUTHERLAND TARTAN AND A BRIEF HISTORY.
IN GAELIC GLENFIDDICH MEANS "VALLEY OF THE |DEER". THE ORIGINS OF GL.ENFIDDICH GO BACK TO 1886
THE SECOND GLENFIDICH TIN CONTAINED AN AGED 12 YEAR OLD WHISKY - SPECIAL RESERVE. THIS WHISKY IS KNOWN AS THE WORLD'S FAVOURITE SINGLE MALT WHISKY.
THE THIRD TIN CONTAINED A 10 YEAR OLD SINGLE HIGHLAND MALT SCOTCH WHISKY. WRITING ON THE TIN SAYS "HANDCRAFTED BY THE SIXTEEN MEN OF TAIN"
THE FOURTH IS A BOX WHICH CONTAINED GLEN MARNOCH LIMITED RELEASE WHISKY FROM ISLAY
