Description
This beautiful authentic fired clay sculpture was given to me as a gift in India, when I was visiting an ashram near Warda, Uttar Pradesh, which was run by the late great lady saint, Acharya Meenakshi Devi. One of her devotees was a very talented sculpture, and after I gave a concert and talk to everyone at the ashram, I was presented with this exquisite, unique gift. It had been made the previous week.
It has had pride-of-place in our living room for nearly 20 years, but now, due to moving to a smaller home, there is not a place for it. We hope that it will find a good home, and it's beautiful serenity and the repose captured in this incredible piece of art fills your home!
It is quite chunky, weighing in at 8.25 kg, with an overall height of 15 inches (38 cm) and sits on a stone base which is 8 inches (20 cm) wide and with a depth of 6 inches (15 cm).
