Description
We would like to GIVE AWAY this antique long clock made by Thomas Worswick of Lancaster. He made clocks from the 1750s until his death in 1804, so this clock is approximately 250 years old, give or take about 25 years. More information is seen at the website indicated.
The clock is approximately 94 inches tall, 20 inches wide, and 10 inches deep. A few small bits of the case have come off; we have them. Although currently arranged to be moved, once the weights are re-hung, the clock will function.
FREE -- the only catch is that you have to pick it up and take it away.
More information on the condition of the clock: It worked before it was disassembled and moved twice, but has not since then been restored to working condition. We know that the brass cables need to be re-wound onto the drums as part of the process of re-hanging the weights, but we do not know how to do so. The winding key went missing at some point.
Maybe a good project for someone with someplace to put it -- keep the height in mind.
