‘Dungeness Daydreaming’
A 1:22 (Gn15 scale 13.5mm:1ft) micro-model railway layout.
Professionally built 1:22 scale (13.5mm to 1ft) working micro model railway layout. Inspired by the remnants of 15” gauge railway tracks originally laid by fishermen across Dungeness shingle beach on Romney Marsh in Kent.
Set in 1:22 scale using hand-laid 16.5mm gauge track to represent a beach scene and railway serving the fisher folk. The track gauge is 14mm/1ft. The 2 locomotives are resin mouldings on a chassis made up of 1/64 geared Black Beetle motor bogies. The people are modified Schleich farm range figures. The stunning back scene was hand painted.
Atmospheric lighting is achieved using LED down lighters and strip lights whilst the sound of ocean waves breaking onto the beach and the seagulls are from a ‘YouTube’ track downloaded onto your mobile phone and played via a pair of Bluetooth speakers mounted in the roof of the layout.
2 working 12v DC locomotives, plus 6 wagons are included.
