Description
J.G. Edgar's Danes, Saxons and Normans is a riveting exploration of three pivotal regions that shaped medieval Europe. The book brings to life the fearless Viking exploits in Denmark, the rise of Saxony as a cornerstone of the Holy Roman Empire, and the evolution of Normandy, France from a Viking settlement to the birthplace of the Norman Conquest, including that in United Kingdom/England. With vivid storytelling, Edgar unveils the ambitions, alliances, and cultural transformations that forged these regions into powerhouses of their time. A masterful blend of history and drama, this work is a must-read for anyone fascinated by the complexities and triumphs of Europe’s medieval past.
