Britains Toy Soldiers, Special Collectors Edition. Six figures of The Cameronians Regiment (The Scottish Rifles), 26th of Foot, raised on the Holm at Douglas, South Lanarkshire in May 1689. Set comprises an Officer, bugler and four riflemen. Nearly 300 years of service to Crown &Country. Because of defence cuts they disbanded in 1967, where they were raised, rather than amalgamate. A very special and famous regiment.
I bought this set in 2000 and the figures have never been out the box. Original paperwork still enclosed. Pre-owned, mint condition.

Quote from the Padre at their disbandment: …So put pride in your step Cameronians! As you march out of the Army List, you are marching into history, and from your proud place there, no man can remove your name, and no man can snatch a rose from the chaplet of your honour.

Is sold with its original burgundy red box and foam inserts. The box is in Very Good condition.
These six beautifully detailed, crafted and hand painted pieces which were made in England would make a great gift or addition to any William Britain’s display or collection.
