Description
Lithopane tea set with Japanese Geisha design.
Lithopane is a kind of ornamentation of porcelain visible when held to the light. Produced by pressing designs into it when soft.
It shows a Geisha in a green kimono in front of snow-covered branches.
The set includes a teapot with a wicker handle and a porcelain strainer inside.
A milk jug and sugar bowl with a lid.
4 tea cups with saucers and 4 cake/dessert plates.
Very good condition. It has no defects but shows slight traces due to age.
I remember my grandmother and mother collecting these items back in the 1970s.
Smoke-free home.
