Description
This is a Tartan Pictorial Map by John Bartholomew and Bartholomew, published by HarperCollins in 1979. The map measures 1020mm in height and 760mm in width when opened out, and is in the format of a sheet map.
This map includes illustrations of 96 different tartans showing the areas of the principal clans. Over 1000 surnames are listed along with the clans, families and tartans with which each is associated. The history of tartan and Highland dress is also outlined.
