Description
Vintage Architects' Triangular Scale, owned by me since 1960s and manufactured by the famous specialist company Abbot Brown of Beaminster. (It was produced for the Brick Development Association for advertising purposes)
Three blades are of White plastic are engraved individually with related scale divisions of 1:10, 1:100, 1:20 1:200. 1:50, and 1:500.
The Scale is in excellent unused condition (refer to photos) and carries the lettering:-
'Brick Development Association, 19 Grafton Street, London, W1 and it's telephone number.' plus the phrases:- '
Brick is beautiful', 'Build in brickwork' and 'Beaminster' makers insignia.
Colours and numbers also separate the scale facets.
Comes with original triangular clear plastic case which has unfortunately faded with age.
Unusual but still a useful piece of equipment for work or to have as part of an associated collection.
