Published in 1970, as part of Time-Life ‘Foods of the World’ series, the two volumes consist of a comprehensive, spiral-bound cookery book, covering the various aspects of Japanese cooking (see photo of the Contents page for details), plus a separate book providing a fascinating insight into everything associated with the art of Japanese food and eating, under various headings, including ‘The Heritage of a Remarkable Past’, ‘Food for All Seasons’, ‘The Logic of Japanese Cookery’ and so on (photos show two illustrated pages from this volume). Both books are contained within an original folder (see photos). Folder is showing signs of age, but the two books tucked inside are unmarked. Sold as seen. From a pet and smoke-free home.
