Description
Approximately 100 years old . These where used in the colonial period when is was common for traders or colonials to indulge in opium smoking . As at the same time because of our trade with indo China it was being widely used in England. Mostly in upper class .
I purchased this in Vietnam last year on a trip . It's metal with a patina of transfer pattern. So it would have been used in a slightly upper class opium salon . They where not termed as dens . Because it was for colonials used as a sense of relaxing.
