More about the Football 50p
Issued as one of the 29 Olympic 50p designs to commemorate the games in London 2012. Each 50p features a different Olympic sport.

With a mintage of just 1.125 million, the Football 50p is the rarest of the Olympic coins and is widely sought after by coin collectors due to its scarcity

The offside rule 50p coin depicts a midfielder deciding to pass to either one teammate on the left, listed ‘offside’ or the other teammate that’s on level with the defender, listed as ‘not offside’.

Circulated coin showing wear.

Collection only.
