Description
1945 PAPWORTH INDUSTRIES DEMOB CASE - a fantastic film or theatre prop The printing inside shows it was produced by Papworth Industries Cambridge in 1945.
It is quite small at 35cm long x 24cm wide x 12cm deep.
It is of a sturdy construction and has reinforced metal corners. The handle is metal made to look like leather and it has a lock, but I do not have the key for it.
It is a pre-used item 80 years old, the outside still looks good, some minor amounts of rust on lock and handle fixings, some wear and tear marks on all sides and one end of the leather lid hinge is detached from it's rivet. The inside has lots of obvious staining with the worst in bottom left corner. The condition can best be appreciated by viewing all 16 photographs taken from every angle inside and out, which also forms part of the description. Collection from Harlington near Heathrow Airport with either cash on collection.
