Description
This superb Japanese wood and bronze elephant and tigers sculpture from the late Meiji period (1868-1912), the bull elephant with a pair of attaching tigers, one on its back and the other at its underbelly, raised on a large naturalistic formed root piece.
Height 45cm , width 65cm the bronze and the root piece ( 60cm x 40 cm ).
