Description
Vintage wooden coal scuttle with brass handle and knob
Size (approx.): 32.7cm tall (NOT incl. handle), 34cm wide x 48cm deep
Condition: Wood is worn/chipped in places (especially at the edges) , in line with age and being a practical piece of furniture. Needs a good rub down, clean and polish.
Hinges work well. Brass is dull and a little tarnished in places. Handle is a little loose - needs tightening.
No liner so dirty inside.
It has a metal bracket at the back, where the scoop would have been stored.
I have found a small shovel, which I can include
Underneath, the wood a little discoloured underneath and the planks needs knocking together
Would look great next to a fireplace, in a country cottage.
