Description
Fully restored, stripped and polished with Liberon Iron Paste which has been buffed to give a graphite shine, but could be made matt black with another coat and no buffing.
Lozenge marks on rear (see photo) which I believe dates this to 01-July-1872.

Measurements should not be considered absolutely precise!
Some marks and wear consistent with age and use, but no obvious structural damage or signs of repair to the exterior. It is old and has had a life however, so it isn’t perfect. Overall condition is as shown in photos.
It protrudes only very slightly at the back (mostly with bolts that could be cut) so it wouldn’t necessarily need to go over an opening. There are two fixing loops on the back, and two under the mantle shelf to aid attachment in situ.
