We are delighted to present a wonderful opportunity for one lucky buyer to become the new owner of this remarkably beautiful solid white marble hand carved fireplace surrounded. It is one of the most beautiful chimney pieces we have ever come across, and the level of craftsmanship is breathtaking.

Total width: 160cm x 121cm height x 30cm depth.

All 5 elements were carved into a solid piece from a block of marble in order to make this magnificent— for lack of a better and more appropriate description- piece of art; because to call it anything less would be a disservice, because this is not your average fireplace surround.


The sheer craftsmanship and level of detail in the carvings are sublime. It showcases astonishing talent whereby the mason put on display the full breadth of their remarkable ability, adorning the surround with a Baroque Cartouche Central Motif, Acanthus Leaves, Scroll Work, Beaded Moulding, Vertical Fluting, Roses and Floral Carvings, Scallop Shell Motif, Egg-and-Dart moulding and Swags and Foliage— making this not just a highly decorative and ornate fireplace surround, but in our opinion, a piece of art— taking the carved marble form, that clearly derives inspiration from the very best of Louis XV 18th Century French and Regency Neoclassical English Design style.


To have a stone mason make something like this today would cost upwards of £10,000, and still, it would be worth every penny, because it really is a statement fireplace that is bound to be the source of both envy and desire of anyone fortunate enough to bear witness to it in person.
