Locally owned by Debbie who qualified from Bristol in 2000, we have been offering an excellent general practice service since 2009. We have well over 6000 active small animal and exotic clients, and we are growing all the time.

You'll be joining an exceptionally experienced team of 4 vets (3.5 fte) with over 60 years' experience between us! One of the team is also currently working towards an ultrasound certificate and another has a keen interest in ophthalmology. We're also supported by a brilliant non-clinical team including Kirsty our practice manager who is also our onsite mental health first aider, as well as a team of 7 nurses who utilise all their skills including schedule 3, and with one of the team being an x-ray specialist.

Work is shared out equally and we try and maximise veterinary skills to the full and embrace new ideas from team members. The days are structured to advantage the team with 2 x 15-minute breaks, an hour's lunch break and consults are given 15 minutes as standard. We also hold regular team meetings, usually about once a month.

In joining our team and supporting a great community and client base, we are looking for a colleague with solid GP experience, a team player with great communication skills and someone who shares our passion for providing the highest level of veterinary care.

We can offer this role on a full or part time basis with just 1 in 4 weekends (sole charge) and no out of hours. Shift patterns can also be flexible.

The practice

We have a spacious practice with all the equipment you'd expect from a thriving GP practice, which includes 3 consult rooms/imaging room (digital X-ray, ultrasound, theatre and separate cat and dog wards.
