The client is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon who thrives in a first opinion role, enjoys a diverse caseload, and values building lasting relationships with patients.

The Hours:

Open to full-time and part-time applications. Full-time would include 38 hours per week, over 4 days with a set day off. Weekend duties are shared among the vets to ensure a fair schedule. 1:10 long weekends (Saturday and Sunday) followed by a Monday off, and 1:10 short weekends (Saturday only). OOH for inpatients only. The practice prioritises work-life balance by outsourcing out-of-hours services while maintaining inpatient care. The Role:

This position offers the opportunity to work alongside a skilled nursing and veterinary team in an environment equipped with fantastic facilities, including a CT scanner. The role includes routine consultations, surgeries, and support to explore individual interests. More About The Practice:

The practice is equipped with digital radiography, endoscopy, dental radiography, and an on-site CT scanner. It boasts certificate holders in surgery and medicine, complemented by visiting specialists in areas such as physiotherapy and ophthalmology.

Salary: Up to GBP60,000 per annum FTE, reflective of skills and experience

The Heavitree site hosts an exotic ward and imaging facilities, including a CT scanner, catering to a wide variety of cases for companion animals and exotics. The nursing team supports the veterinary team in imaging, lump removal, and dental procedures. The surgeries are accredited as Cat Friendly Clinics, with varying standards from Bronze to Gold.
