As a Senior Specialist Speech & Language Therapist, you will:Work autonomously within a multidisciplinary teamAssess and address communication impacts on daily life, providing appropriate interventionsCollaborate with individuals and their social networks to overcome communication barriersDevelop management plans and rehabilitation strategies, seeking specialist assessments when necessaryProvide training to staff and the social networks of service usersSupport eating, drinking, and swallowing needs under supervisionAttend multidisciplinary team meetings and complete reportsContribute to service and organisational development

The ideal candidate for the Senior Specialist Speech & Language Therapist position will have:A degree in Speech and Language TherapyHCPC registrationDysphagia competenciesSpecialist knowledge of SaLT models and interventions in ABI.Ability to manage dysphagia within an adult neurology caseload.At least 18 months of qualified experience in relevant neurological settings.Strong communication skills and enjoyment of working within a multidisciplinary team.
