Contract: Full–Time, Temporary to Permanent

Location: South Leeds Primary School

Start Date: April 2025

Salary: From GBP95 – GBP115 per Day

Working via PK Education

PK Education are recruiting for a full–time Inclusion Support Worker to join a wonderful, diverse primary school in South Leeds. This is a temporary–to–permanent role, offering an exciting opportunity to support children with SEND, SEMH and EAL needs. The role will be working predominantly with a Year 4 cohort, alongside intervention support for pupils with SEND/SEMH needs.

Role Overview:

As an Inclusion Support Worker, you will be working primarily across Ks1 Lower KS2 providing tailored support to children with diverse learning needs, including ASD, SEMH, and low ability. You will also work with EAL (English as an Additional Language) pupils to help them engage and progress within the curriculum.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting pupils with speech and language development, including phonics, and using approaches like PECS.Working with pupils with ASD and SEMH needs, adapting learning approaches to meet individual needs.Supporting EAL and low–ability pupils to access the curriculum.Providing inclusive support across the school and vital 1:1 support with children with behavioural challenges and dysregulation. Ideal Candidate:

Experience working in primary education and a strong understanding of the primary curriculum.Knowledge and experience in supporting EAL and low–ability pupils.Experience in speech and language development, including phonics and using PECS.Experience supporting pupils with ASD and SEMH needs, including pupils that can become dysregulated and present with challenging behaviour.Team Teach training is desirable but not essential.A patient, caring, and empathetic approach to working with children.A proactive team player who can collaborate effectively with teaching staff and parents.
