Fostering Team Manager

Permanent, Full–time (3 days in office, 2 days home–based)

Job Description: We are working with an indepedent fostering agency who are seeking a passionate and experienced fostering social worker to lead their fostering team. As a Team Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the fostering service, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with relevant regulations.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is either experienced in the position and is looking to help grow the organisation or someone who is looking to develop in their career and step–up to Team Manager.

About the Agency: We are working with a an independent fostering agency dedicated to providing exceptional care and support for children and young people. Their mission is to create safe, nurturing environments that enable our foster families to thrive, within the local area.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, manage, and support a team of social workers and support staff

Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and standards

Develop and implement policies and procedures

Monitor and evaluate the performance of the fostering service

Provide regular supervision and support to team members

Liaise with external agencies and stakeholders

Promote and maintain a positive working environment

Take part in an OOH duty rota

Requirements:

Qualified Social Worker with a current registration

Experience in a managerial role within an independent fostering agency would be ideal, although the agency is also open to people looking to make a step–up in their career.

Strong leadership and management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
