Location: Leicester

Contract Type: Temporary

Hours: Full-time, Mon–Fri, 8:00am-4:00pm)

Pay: £13.00 hourly rate PAYE | £17.01 per hour Ltd

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established local authority for a Temporary Caretaker to support the Council on their properties within Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated and passionate team, delivering a vital service to residents in the borough.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Caretaker, you will ensure the day-to-day operational running of council buildings. Duties include but are not limited to:

Opening, closing, and securing buildings across various locations

Performing general repairs, upkeep, and basic maintenance tasks

Conducting routine health & safety and fire safety checks

Ensuring internal and external areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained

Reporting maintenance issues to relevant departments

Supporting manual handling tasks and ensuring site resources are in place

Providing occasional Saturday cover and working shifts up to 9pm as part of a team rota

The ability to work independently and as part of a team

A strong commitment to health and safety procedures

Confidence in dealing professionally with colleagues and service users
