Adur & Worthing Councils are seeking an Interim Building Surveyor to join their team on a 6-month initial contract. This role offers the chance to play a key part in clearing a backlog of works, including long-term void properties, standard voids, and essential capital works to resolve damp and mould cases.
You'll be responsible for:
·Surveying and specifying works on voids and damp & mould cases using the NHF Schedule of Rates.
·Overseeing delivery via contractors and DLO.
·Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, CDM Regulations, and the Building Safety Act.
·Reporting on progress, budget, performance, and customer satisfaction.
What we're looking for:
·Building Surveying qualification (HNC/ HND, RICS, MRICS)
·Proven experience in property surveying, specification, and contractor management.
·Ability to hit the ground running in a busy local authority environment.

·Location: Worthing Town Hall, BN11 1HA
·Rate: £25.15 p/h (inside IR35- negotiable)
·Hours: 37 per week
·Contract: 6 months initial
