Location: Eastleigh
Salary Scale: GBP82.80 to GBP100 per day
Start Date: ASAP/ September 2025

GSL Education are currently partnering with a number of specialist and inclusive schools across the Eastleigh, looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to work with pupils who face barriers to learning due to behavioural or emotional challenges.
The school:
This Eastleigh based school is looking for a passionate and committed Behaviour Support Assistant. You will be supporting a small class of students, working in partnership with the school's teaching staff, therapists and support staff to deliver specific interventions that aim to boost students' learning, development and language acquisition.
Responsibilities of a Behaviour Support Assistant:
Supporting a pupil with Autism in navigating daily school life, using personalised behaviour strategiesBuilding a trusting, consistent relationship that encourages confidence, independence, and emotional securityCollaborating closely with class teachers, the SEN team, and the pupil s family to implement effective support plansHelping develop social skills and positive coping mechanisms to aid in long–term progress and well–beingTracking progress, adapting support, and celebrating every step forward Requirements for Behaviour Support Assistant role:
Experience working with children with SEN, particularly Autism or behavioural challenges (desirable)A calm, patient, and empathetic approach with a genuine commitment to inclusive educationStrong communication and teamwork skills to work in partnership with school staff and familiesA proactive, solution–focused mindset and the ability to remain positive in challenging situations To work with GSL Education as a Behaviour Support Assistant, you should:
Have the right to work in the UK. Have an up–to–date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years. Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
