Department: Manufacturing
Hours: Monday Friday, 7:30am 4:00pm (40 hrs/week occasional overtime)
Rate:GBP14 – GBP17.50 depending on experience
About the Role:
We re looking for a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our Manufacturing team. You ll be interpreting sheet metal and engineering drawings to fabricate high–quality components using mild and stainless steel. MIG welding skills are highly desirable, and you'll be working with a range of tools and machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and work from detailed engineering drawings
Fabricate components using mild and stainless steel
Tack welding required; MIG welding proficiency is a strong advantage
Operate machinery including guillotines, brake presses, and overhead cranes
Inspect workpieces and report any defects
Adhere to all Health & Safety standards and complete daily housekeeping
Complete required paperwork and assigned tasks to specification and deadline
What We re Looking For:
Strong experience in sheet metal fabrication
Confident in MIG welding (advantageous but not essential)
Able to read technical drawings and welding symbols
Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Good verbal communication and a strong work ethic
The Work Environment:
Workshop setting with occasional high noise levels
PPE must be worn (gloves, steel–toe boots, hearing/eye protection)
Physically demanding: includes climbing, lifting, bending, and handling materials
