We are seeking an Advanced Practitioner to join our dedicated Children with Disabilities Team in Rochdale. This ongoing locum role offers a competitive hourly rate of GBP40.00 and the flexibility to work full-time or part-time. You will play a key role in supporting children and young people with disabilities, leading complex cases, and mentoring fellow practitioners.

Key Responsibilities Manage a reduced but highly complex caseload of children and young people with disabilities, including those under child protection plans.

Conduct detailed assessments and develop person-centred plans to promote independence and well-being.

Provide practice leadership, guidance, and mentorship to social work staff.

Support newly qualified social workers and students in their professional growth.

Lead safeguarding enquiries and interventions in line with the Children Act 1989 and local procedures.

Attend case conferences, legal planning meetings, and court proceedings, contributing expert input.

Work collaboratively with education, health services, and voluntary organisations to deliver coordinated care.

Contribute to service improvement through quality assurance and best practice initiatives.

Essential Requirements Degree in Social Work or equivalent recognised qualification.

Registration with Social Work England.

Significant post-qualification experience in children's social care and disability services.

In-depth knowledge of key legislation and safeguarding processes.

Proven track record in mentoring or supervising practitioners.
