Adult Social Worker - Penge & Beckenham Locality Team Location: Churchill Court, 2 Westmoreland Road, Bromley, Kent, BR1 1AS

Hours: 36 hours per week

Hybrid Working: 3 days office-based per week required

Contract: Initial 3-month assignment

Pay Rate: GBP23.77 per hour PAYE / GBP31.25 per hour Umbrella

Enhanced DBS & SWE Registration Required

About the RoleWe are recruiting an experienced Adult Social Worker to join the Penge & Beckenham Locality Team within Adult Social Care. This role will focus on supporting adults with a range of needs including physical disabilities, learning disabilities, and mental health issues, promoting their independence and wellbeing in line with statutory responsibilities.

You will carry a varied caseload and work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary setting to deliver high-quality, person-centred interventions.

Key ResponsibilitiesComplete Care Act assessments and support planningUndertake Mental Capacity Assessments and contribute to Best Interest decisionsManage safeguarding enquiries under Section 42Complete strength-based assessments and risk management plansWork collaboratively with health partners, carers, families and external agenciesMaintain accurate case recording in line with legal and local authority requirementsPromote independence and personalisation in all practiceContribute to MDT meetings and locality working arrangementsRequirements Qualified Social Worker (CQSW/DipSW/BA/MA Social Work)

Registered with Social Work England (SWE)

Experience in adult social care statutory practice

Knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005

Ability to work autonomously and manage a complex caseload

Enhanced Adult Workforce DBS (or willingness to obtain)
