Solid State Drive ( SSD ) more expensive per Gigabyte but much faster and more reliable ( more info below )
Serial Advanced Technology Attachment ( SATA ) basically a moving parts drive
What's the difference ( apart from the price :)In a nutshell, Solid State Drives have no moving parts which allows the data to be transferred fasted and because it has no moving parts, there is less to break which as a result, makes them much for reliable.
SATA drives on the other hand use disks to read the data from. The disk have to spin up before info can be read from them which is where it can fail. This does not mean they are unreliable, just that they are not as reliable as The SSD Drives.
How to install:
Installation is quite simple on both laptops and desktops. Have a look on Youtube for your make and model and there will be loads of videos on how to replace the hard drive.
