This delightful French polished concert guitar has benefitted from a full restoration, and is a wonderful instrument made by a very notable luthier called Ray Spain.

She is beautifully crafted with a solid spruce top, solid rosewood back and sides, and set up with very nice action. I've taken the time to photograph her in the garden, as it was a lovely morning, and as a result you can see her in full glory, and bright sunlight.

*This instrument will be supplied in a vintage hard case.

She is fitted with 'very expensive' Fustero tuners, made in Spain, so the luthier wasn't holding back with the build cost. One of the best tuners on the market at the time, (still are) and very collectable.

The guitar is in particularly beautiful condition with perfect playability. Some very mild signs of ageing, all very subtle, but know that cosmetically she's really lovely with lots of character. She's 51 years old, but now has her lustre back, totally clean, and set up for a very enjoyable playing experience.

I've enclosed a picture of Ray Spain, together with a chapter on him from a 1980 book, presumably written by Ivor Mairants, who sold many Spanish guitars for luthiers. Ray also made Flamenco guitars and steel string acoustic. He was from Bournemouth and died in 2015 aged 87.

Postage - I'm happy to discuss a courier with a potential new owner, but I would prefer collection. She'll need insuring before posting as she's quite valuable and a collector's guitar, but you can arrange your own courier at your own risk.
