Description

USSR Parlour Guitar - Blonde

This post war vintage instrument is very collectible, and plays beautifully well. I'm a restorer, and so have done some work on this guitar to ensure she is going to provide a lot of enjoyment for the next owner.

She is solid wood, with a solid spruce soundboard, and an ebonised neck, with figured back and sides. She has a short scale, and is a joy to play.

I've given the guitar a clean, improved the fretwork, set the neck angle so that she offers very comfortable low action, for ease of play, created a new tuner button, and fitted her with brand new professional classical guitar strings at the time of listing.

Any repairs that were needed have been done for you, and she plays fantastic.

She is a small slender guitar, perfect for those moments when you want to put your feet up, lean back, and chill out. She has the following dimensions:

Total length: 82cm
Upper: 23cm
Waist: 19.5cm
Lower: 30cm
Body depth: 6.5cm

Action bass: 3.4mm
Action treble: 3.2mm
Scale length: 540mm
Nut width: 45mm

Whilst small, this is not a child's guitar, but an old USSR parlour guitar, and perfect for anybody with small or ageing hands. Of course she is not a professional concert instrument, but if you manage expectations you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Cosmetically she's a actually pretty good for a guitar around 70 or 80 years old, with a few signs of old repairs around the edges of the soundboard, a bit of wear in places on the neck, but overall a very pleasant vintage patina.

Know that you're getting a real bargain here, as I look for a new home where she'll be appreciated.

If you need her posting I can offer a fast tracked service for around £20 including packaging and shipping box etc, but don't leave it until the last day of Christmas post guys.
