This is a Traditional Series. NOT the Standard series,. Standard series were a line of New Hartford-built guitars the company introduced as more affordable alternatives. Traditional series guitars have more feature-laden appointments, Chesterfield inlay, Ebony headstock face, adirondak top, Scalloped Red Spruce bracing all tend to scream of “Guild” from afar.
This guitar is in VGC only slight dinks & surface marks.
Issues
Some touch ups on top of H/stock (photo16)
Some wear around tuner bushing 6th,5th strings (photo 10)
Very slight fretboard wear(first 3 frets) No divots just marks,
some slight nail marks on back of neck. Can be polished out.
adjusted to photo to hi light these. No dinks just light marks.
The end pin gap (Last photo)is where the original D-tar pup jack socket was fitted.
The current LR Baggs jack arrangement is solid and was pro fitted. It was left like that should anyone want to restore an original D Tar pup. I do not have the original pup.
Important Info
Made in New Hartford USA this & Tacoma are where the best Guilds were made in recent years IMHO. Very light build with alot of attention to detail. Using top quality woods that were left by the Ovation company. Its a Ren Ferguson era model.
