Fender Squier Special Edition Sunburst Stratocaster electric guitar. SE Strat plus free amp.

Description

My Squier SE is a CAE Strat - the white pickguard dates it to the early 2000s and it has a 22 fret neck with Squier branded tuners. The pickup covers are marked 'Squier by Fender'.

Just check out the pics to see the condition. It could be mistaken for a new guitar. Probably one of the best around.

All the electrics work as they should, the pickups are punchy, the frets are polished and not worn and neither is the fret board. It has a comfortable low action which is important if you are learning as a badly set up guitar will hinder your progress.

What is Fender Squier Special Edition?

In the early 2000s Fender begin manufacturing the Squier SE Stratocaster in their Chinese AXL factory. They typically had a clear plastic sticker with the Serial Number on the back of the head stock. Many examples no longer have the sticker as a lot of times people took them off.

The SE models are full-sized, full body thickness, uncompromised Stratocasters which came in black, sunburst, white or red. They only came with rosewood fretboards and a satin-finish neck.

SE's are great guitars in their own right but are also sought after by enthusiasts and modders because they are such a good base for modifications and upgrades because the guitar has a full thickness body as the more expensive Fender Strats.

I have owned this Strat and amp for a number of years but it is time now for someone else to enjoy them.

Also included is the Fender Squier SP10 amp that came with it. It is pleasantly simple to use. You get the usual clean channel and an overdrive channel.

When using the clean channel the notes can be heard clearly, however some players find the SP10 overdrive channel a little noisy as there is no gain control.

The amp is a lot louder than you'd think considering it is 10 watts with a 6 inch speaker - certainly loud enough for home use.
