Description
This is an ultra rare 2005 Fender Telecaster, based on a '62 Custom with a modern, 9.5" radius, rosewood fretboard and medium jumbo frets (in good shape).
The finish is Dakota Red, thin skin nitrocellulose. Light weight, double bound, alder body looks class.
The top coat has yellowed slightly giving it a great vintage look. There are some marks in the finish, but no chips and some minor lacquer lines above the neck plate.
I've upgraded the electronics to an Emerson wiring harness and Q-Pickups Blackguards (hand wound in Croatia).
It originally came with Fender SCN noiseless pickups and S1 switching, but the upgrades have made it miles better. I have the S1 harness, but don't have the SCN pickups.
Other changes are Gotoh compensated brass saddles (original steel threaded ones are included) and a light mint green pick guard (original also included).
Comes with G&G hard case & case candy - '60s strap, ashtray bridge cover and unused jack lead.
I did some research on this model and it seems to have been limited to a run of under 200 pieces.
