ESP - Jackson Hybrid Bass Guitar

An unusual “one off” hybrid active bass guitar which has a date of either 1986 or 1988 in the neck pocket and a signature and a name I cannot find any information on I believe the neck is an ESP neck with a slim Jazz style profile with a lovely dark rosewood board that looks like ebony the bass has (as far as I can tell) always had an old ESP neck plate - I have put the ESP decal on the headstock The active electronics and pickups are Jackson and consist of blend/volume for each pickup, master volume and treble and bass boos/cut - it has a P/J pickup configuration with a “reversed” precision fitted - I don’t know where the body originally comes from - it has a scoop for truss rod adjustment which would have been unusual in the 80’s - there is an extra hole that has been filled but isn’t really noticeable The bridge and machine heads are Schaller the battery clip is by a company called “Keystone” from New York so that might give a clue to where the bass originated as ESP were making custom basses there in the 80’s The bass sounds immense ! I’ve played it live and it has a very wide tonal range and is nice and easy to play with a great action It has a few knocks and scrapes but it is nearly 40 years old comes with a new gig bag.
