EASTMAN E20D-TC ACOUSTIC GUITAR
This is a handmade top quality guitar that I don’t play enough and feel it deserves to be with someone who will play it more.Specification is as described below and is in as new and perfect condition having been kept in its hard case and played very little.
This guitar retailed at £1700 when new and is a high quality instrument and comes with the original Eastman hard case which is also in immaculate as new condition.
The Eastman E-Series / Traditional Series is based on the legendary steel-string guitar from the Golden Era before the war. The E20D-TC marks the beginning of the high-end flat tops of the traditional Eastman series. It features a solid Adirondack spruce top, solid rosewood back and sides, a three-piece mahogany neck, an ebony fingerboard, a 25.4-inch scale, and hand-carved, scalloped X-bracing. TC indicates the thermally treated treatment, where the top is baked for accelerated aging of the wood, resulting in a warmer, more complex tone. This also affects the appearance. A thermally treated surface is slightly darker compared to an untreated spruce top. Compared to the obvious D28, the E20D-TC has a bit more brilliance in its sound, which you might perceive as a rich tone in this vintage style. Note the beautiful details, the hard maple binding, the abalone snowflake inlay, the open gear tuning pegs, and the traditional headstock volute.
