Description
“Burny” brand (made by in Japan by Japanese manufacturer Fernandes).
Bluntly, it’s a Les Paul, just not by Gibson. It’s heavy but really nicely made. Mahogany body and neck, flamed honey-burst maple cap with cream binding and pretty much unblemished poly finish. The photo of the headstock back looks like it’s scratched - it isn’t.
Pickups are a Seymour Duncan Jeff Beck in bridge position and a Di Marzio (don’t know the model) at the neck. It used to sport a Fernandes Sustainer, hence the (now redundant) battery compartment and switch - the switch has been repurposed to split coils on both pickups.
Not sure of the age - it was given to me 30 years ago and I guess was probably made in the early nineties.
Comes in a sturdy, padded canvas case, unfortunately Aria-branded. And it’s a little heavy, as previously mentioned, so I’ve included a padded leather strap, Fender-branded.
Priced to sell quickly - I don’t play and haven’t for several years and it needs to go.
