One of Ovations top of the range guitars from 1994. As used by the legendary Al Di Meola.
Very hard to find in this condition. These 90's models do not have the thick lacquer.
Sounds great. I am a pure Trad acoustic player normally & own alot of top end boutique acoustics.
But the sound of this is very impressive. I use it for jazz, slide blues.
Very comfortable to play. Amazingly loud for a slim back.
Condition is VGC IMHO. No lacquer cracks on the top or dents.
Headstock is free of dents.
No fret board/fret wear worth mentioning. Bridge is flat & straight neck/stable.
Strings are Martin Xtra light PB. 10 - 47
All factory shims removed from saddle.
Action is set as low as it can go
1.75mm 6th String Fret XII
1.5mm 1st String Fret XII
Issues
1.Repaired minor split on neck binding(XII & end on sound hole)
2. 3 x hair line cracks on rosette.
at 1,2 & 5 o'clock. I had to doctor the photos to show these.
3. Treble side of neck binding has a very. very slight ridge. Poss. reglued or shrinkage.
4. Slight marks on neck T side of binding 1st fret see photo.
