Description

Bought this last summer as a Gibson alternative, but still wanting the proper Gibson body and headstock shape. Brilliant guitar, loud and resonant. One of the older models with the Seymour Duncan pickups before Edwards moved to their own pickups in recent years.

Part of the Edwards "Laquer Taste" series, with a matte nitro layer over a poly finish.

It's a fantastic guitar that I'm only moving on since I picked up a Gibson 335 in the interim and I don't need both. Can ship but local collection from Bristol BS4 is preferred. Anyone local free to come and try it and compare it to a Gibson 335 to see how it stacks up.

Beautifully built by ESP in Japan in 2009, we have this superb Edwards E-SA-125LTS Semi Hollow for sale. It is in 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with original hardshell case. A premium Japanese-made interpretation of the 335 platform, the E-SA-125LTS features a solid carved hard maple top and back, factory-installed USA-made Seymour Duncan pickups, and an immaculate semi-gloss Vintage Sunburst nitrocellulose lacquer finish. It has a solid carved maple maple top and back with centre block construction with a chunky mahogany neck, closer to a '58 than a '59. It has a bound rosewood fingerboard featuring pearloid dot inlays and medium jumbo fretwire. Great looking sunburst nitro finish and yellowed full body binding adds to the classy look on this one. It is loaded with a great sounding set of Seymor Duncan SH 2-n (neck) and SH-14 (bridge) humbuckers. In excellent condition with just light to moderate playwear commensurate with age. Obviously no electrical or structural issues. It’s had absolutely no breaks or repairs and plays like a dream. Straight neck, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. Weight is a good solid 3.7kg. Complete with original ESP black tolex hardcase. A superb modern Japanese built 335.
