Description
This is a fantastic opportunity to buy this VERY RARE superb NEW & Boxed GOLD SPHERE set from John Lewis. There is a large carafe and 8 matching tumblers (4 boxes of two tumblers). I have tried and tried (very unsuccessfully, to find out more about these. The lady I got them from told me they were almost a bespoke one-off set. Taking that with a pinch of salt, I carried on investigating. There is no record or sign of these on eBay, Amazon or even Google (pictures AND search!). Apparently, they were like a prototype of an idea they had. I can tell you this, they are absolutely beautiful. In contemporary smoked glass and with gold bottoms, these are all in their original boxes and are well protected inside them as well. The tumbler I photographed was handled with tissue paper to avoid any prints. The carafe is of the same design and has a pouring spout too. I did contact John Lewis to enquire about them but they were quite cagey!
We are in Cuminestown which is approx 5 miles from Turriff near the A947.
