This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Iconic Sale at Silverstone Festival 2025 - Collectors' Cars on Saturday the 23rd of August, The Wing, Silverstone Circuit, NN12 8TN. , Finished in Caspian Blue over Strato Silver, this exceptional 2.8i Capri, has covered a genuine 18,078 recorded miles and remains in outstanding original condition throughout. Purchased by its first owner, a Mr J B Ream of Aberdeen, as noted in a hand written letter in the history file at a cost of £8,000 in May 1983, it remained within his family for the first 19 years of its life, to be used as a second vehicle for special occasions, and only then if weather conditions were favourable.A fastidious owner indeed, he had the first service carried out at the supplying dealer, however, following services were completed by Mr Ream and his son in law, a qualified Ford mechanic utilising all genuine parts along the way. The thought process being that the works carried out were finished with greater care and attention to detail if you did it yourself, provided, of course that you had an experienced Ford technician by your side.
