The 2 pitchers you get with this blender are made from plastic. One clear advantage of a plastic pitcher is that it is a very sturdy material, and the pitcher is unlikely to break anytime soon.
When it's time to clean the pitcher, you can remove the blades and wash them by hand. A neat little detail that makes this model easier to use.
