Dempster Management Services (‘DMS’) is a family-run business, specialising in residential block and estate management. Both Alex and Tiffany are directors of the company and have a combined 45 years’ experience within the leasehold sector.

After working for a larger managing agent for several years, DMS was launched to provide a more hands-on approach to managing blocks of flats across the North West with a personal service rarely afforded by larger faceless organisations.

DMS is smaller than most agents which allows us the time and commitment to ensure site visits are conducted regularly. Our ethos is to manage developments proactively rather than reactively, tackling work before it creates a problem. We have a comprehensive list of approved local and cost-effective contractors. Service charges are regularly reviewed to make sure they are reasonable but adequate to cover current and future expenditure.

DMS believes that transparency and trust is key to excellent management. We, therefore, have acquired a computer software system that offers a secure portal for owners to access their individual service charge account, the annual budgets and a messaging area which can be used to report maintenance and other issues. We have a hands-on approach and will tackle any issue that owners and tenants alike may have regarding their development.

Our admin office is primarily based in the High Peak area. As we manage several developments in both South and North Manchester, we have recently opened an office located in Stockport so that we can effectively manage developments in a central location.
