Description
Hello! My name is Alice and I have been a Primary Education Tutor since 2019. I have completed a degree in Primary Education leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), and a Master's Degree in Psychology.
I have over 6 years of experience in different educational settings, teaching all ages from reception through to Year 8, and have achieved Outstanding across many of my lessons. I also have vast experience with SEND students, and take pleasure in helping children of all abilities progress past their expected levels.
I specialise in English and Maths tuition from KS1 - KS3. Due to the nature of my degree, I am also up to date with all the latest requirements of Standardised Testing such as SATS, Common Entrance, Phonics Screening Tests and the 11+ examinations.
My own pedagogy and teaching style could be described as interactive. I believe in a student-centred, hands-on learning experience for all of my pupils and focus my lessons around confidence building and discovery learning. I think that education is at the heart of the individual, and therefore you should expect your lessons to be individually tailored to your child's needs.
