This Troubleperson will report to the field staff supervisor and will work within network operations based across our Crawley and Brighton offices. You will be a permanent employee in our UK Power Networks team.
You will attract a salary of 47,690 – per annum – depending on experience and a bonus of 3%.

Job Purpose:
The position, working as part of the Crawley and Brighton Area team will manage the restoration of LV supplies on the UK Power Networks LV distribution system, carrying out jointing repairs on the HV and LV cable networks. After a period of training, you will carry out the full range of Troubleperson activities including first line response and permanent fault repair work at voltages up to 33kV.
Principal Accountabilities:
Location of faults on the Distribution networkThe restoration of HV & LV suppliesTest and switch on the HV & LV network – and understanding the results of the testsAny other relevant jointing dutiesSupervise excavating teamsUnderstand operational and 1:500 diagramsLV and HV jointingUse appropriate IT equipment including TDR, LV Faults sniffer and FFE equipmentSupervise a working party
Nature and Scope:
You will play a vital role in the safe restoration of LV & HV supplies. We are regulated by several guidelines, and you will be important in ensuring successful compliance with Customer Minutes Lost and Customer Interruption targets. You may work at any location within the UK Power Networks area, initially within the South East Region.
