Senior Quantity Surveyor

Inside IR35

Umbrella/PAYE Only

The Senior QS role is to be part of the Facilities Management team and will cover Hinkley, Berkeley and Oldbury. Site attendance is assumed as 2 days a week minimum.

BPSS security requirementCannot have worked outside the UK in the last three yearsMust have a full driving license and carMust have NEC 3 experience ideally NEC 4 as well.Working hours are compressed; 37.5 hours a week over Monday to Thursday. Start time 07.25 (at your desk) – 17.00 with a 20 min lunch break, basically 9.375 hours a day

Role Education / Qualifications / Training Experience / Knowledge Key Competencies Other Requirements

Quantity Surveyor – A relevant professional qualification (e.g. RICS, CIOB) or equivalent significant, demonstrable quantity surveying experience (E)

– Membership of a relevant professional body (E) – Significant experience within a relevant project environment, including industry knowledge and understanding (E)

– Significant experience of NEC3 and/or cost management across a broad range of complex projects (E)

– Significant NEC experience working as a practitioner across a range of NEC contracts varying in size and complexity (E)

– Broad range of contract experience (including domestic subcontract experience) (E)

– Experience and knowledge of standard method of measurement (SMM7, CESMM3, NRM2, etc.) (E)

– Experience and understanding of CDM regulations (E)

– Demonstrable knowledge of Earned Value Management, reporting, and cost management techniques (E)

– Experience of identifying, analysing, and solving problems, including independent project reviews and providing independent advice and guidance (E)

– Strong communication, negotiation, and commercial skills (E)

– Demonstrable knowledge of risk management and risk analysis, including contract risks and contingency management (E)

– Knowledge of relevant company policies and procedures (D)
